Carol's Comments: This ditty is so very simple, and yet I found the need for it over and over again. So often, students will begin an action on one side of the equation, but then forget to go do the same thing on the other. This of course renders the equation UN-equal. We used it almost in banter fashion. I would often say the first line and the students were expected to volley back at me with the second line. |
