I am Captain V. Pain and I'll say it again.

The Parts of Speech you can find in my name.

The process isn't painful as my name makes you think.

But there are 8 parts of speech. Let's learn 'em in a wink. Here we go.

C - Conjunction

A - for Adverb

P - Preposition and a

V- for Verb

P - is for Pronoun

A - for Adjective

I - Interjection and an

N- for Noun

 Carol's Comments: While this doesn't teach what each part of speech is, it does help your child on a test where they have to write down the 8 parts of speech. Okay, I'll admit the "PAIN" part is a tad edgy. It wasn't intended to be, nor is it my style. But it worked well as an acronym and you know with kids...the stranger, the better.
