Carol's Comments: We made up some motions to go with this. For January and February, we clapped on the first beat. For March and April we marched. For May, June and July we put our arms out and pretended to fly on the calm warm breezes often found in these months. For August and September, we fanned our faces with our hands to indicate the heat of August. For October and November we pretended to be cold, rubbing our arms to warm ourselves, to indicate that the weather has taken a turn for the colder.

For December, we actually signed the word "last" as in final month using the Amerian Sign Language sign for this word. "Last" is signed by holding making a fist with your left hand but with the pinky finger extended. The same hand shape is used with the right hand. The left hand shape is held in front of you, while the right hand (still in the same shape) comes downward, tapping the tips of the left pinky on its way past it. Now if that is total mush, paste in this ridiculously long link, scroll down till you see "Video Dictionaries", click on that you you'll find yourself in an automated, visual dictionary. Now select the word "last" and you'll see a woman signing it right before your very eyes.
