A Pint's A Pound - Part Two - (the short version of part one)

Let’s put our measures in a rhyme
To learn them all in record time.

3 teaspoons makes a tablespoon.
2 Tablespoons–an ounce.
1 cup – 8 ounces it will hold
2 cups are now a pint.

2 pints will make a perfect quart.
4 quarts will make a gallon.
For getting through this measuring rhyme
You get a gold medallion.

Carol's Comments: This ditty, repeated regularly, will cement useful measurements and their equivalents into your child's memory. You'll notice that the audio link is only of the last 10 lines. That's for 2 reasons. First, my audio recorder only permits a 60-second recording. So the first part of the ditty is found via the menu labeled "A Pint's A Pound: Part One". But also, the last 10 lines really become a stand-alone piece.  After your kids have  learned the whole piece fairly well, review it occasionally by just reciting the last ten lines.
